Industrialist Mukesh Ambani hosted a grand engagement party for his son Akash Ambani and his fiance Shloka Mehta at his Mumbai residence on Saturday and invited politicians and businessmen apart from A-list celebrities. Among certain stars of course, several awkward encounters could have cropped up at the do, but were avoided with effortless ease. Why? You’ll know soon.
Alia Bhatt made a solo appearance at the party while her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor came with his mother Neetu Singh and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. Soon after, Sidharth Malhotra – Alia’s rumoured ex-boyfriend – was also spotted. Well, we’ve told you this much, so we’re guessing you are already aware of what lies ahead in this piece.
In this case, you might have concluded a part of what the aforementioned scene at the Ambani party might have looked like. But it’s not what you are thinking because SpotboyE reports that Alia and Sidharth (reported exes, in case you need a reminder) hugged and also jabbered through the party.
“Alia, Sidharth, Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra were seen enjoying the party to the hilt. From the looks of it, Alia and Sidharth have no awkwardness anymore. They hugged and were also seen conversing with each other,” SpotboyE quoted a source as saying.
Soon after, Alia was spotted with Ranbir as the source also told SpotboyE: “After spending some time with the gang, Alia joined her current beau, Ranbir Kapoor, and his mother, Neetu Kapoor. It was heartening to see that these actors handled the situation with utmost maturity.”
Meanwhile, take a look at pictures of Ranbir, Alia and Sidharth from the Ambani party.
Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra made their debut together with Karan Johar’s 2012 film Student Of The Year. Both apparently dated for a while but continuously denied rumours while Sidharth reportedly involved himself with his A Gentleman co-star Jacqueline Fernandez last August – following which rumours of his separation with Alia emerged. That’s some Mushkil story, isn’t it?
In May though, Ranbir admitted to GQ India in an interview that he is dating Alia as he said: “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to over speak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is — what’s the right word — flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself.”
Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s engagement party, meanwhile, was attended by several Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji among others.
