Amitabh Bachchan is one living legend in Bollywood who can give young actors a run for their money even today and while he is all set to be seen in some interesting films like 102 Not Out and Thugs Of Hindostan, Big B might also be soon working in a biopic, recreating some memories from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black.
Yes, as per reports in Filmfare, Amitabh Bachchan is all set to play a mentor on-screen once again. According to reports Padman’s director R Balki has approached Kangana Ranaut for a biopic of a differently abled woman, to play the role of Arunima Singh who was the first Indian amputee to scale Mount Everest.
According to what a source told the portal of the magazine, Amitabh Bachchan will be playing a mentor to Kangana in the film. Big B will be playing a coach in the inspirational story.
Reports from another online portal add that both the mega-star and the national award winning actress will be signing on the dotted line by next week. And an official statement about the same will be made later this month. Also, Kangana will be required to prepare for the part for two long months to adapt the body language of a differently abled person.
While reports were suggesting that the film is by R Balki, the director quashed the rumours in an interview to PTI where he said, “I approach Mr Bachchan every day for a film. But whatever you’re hearing now is not true, they are all rumours. There’s nothing on cards. The film people are talking about is not mine, but a friend’s. I’m just helping him do it, I’m not directly involved.”
But the good part is that after sharing screen space for a commercial, Mr Bachchan and Kangana will be seen on the 70 mm together for the first time if things go well. While Big B has played a mentor earlier to Rani Mukerji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black, we would like to see how he inspires us this time.
And while the actors are yet to seal the deal, Kangana is working on Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, while Big B’s 102 Not Out teaser released a few days ago. And we are sure if these 2 fine actors come together for a film we might soon witness a masterpiece.
