Hyderabad: In a spine-chilling incident, a 19-year-old intermediate student was hacked to death in broad daylight here on Monday. As per reports, previous enmity is said to be the reason behind the murderous attack. Reports said E Sudheer, a resident of Moosapet, was going to his examination centre when the incident occurred. The victim was chased and murdered by a group of four persons near the ACP’s office in Kukatpally.
Sudheer was riding on a bike along with two friends when they were attacked by the four persons at around 8 am near the JSP Honda showroom.
N Bujanga Rao, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kukatpally, was reported as saying that the boy succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot. The suspects managed to flee after the incident, Rao added. According to the ACP, Sudheer got off his two-wheeler when he was attacked and boarded a bus, but the gang pulled him out and hacked him to death on the roadside. While the exact reason behind the attack is not yet known, it could be a case of personal enmity, sources said.
The Deccan Chronicle quoted sources as saying that the suspects are believed to be Sudheer’s friends, Naveen, Krishna, Mahi and Teja.
A case of murder under Section 302 of the IPC has been registered by the police and a probe is underway. The victim’s body was sent to the Gandhi Hospital for an autopsy.
