Earlier this year, Irrfan Khan announced on Twitter about him being diagnosed with rare, high-grade cancer called neuroendocrine cancer. And now it’s been months he in London, getting himself treated. We often get an update on his health via his Twitter account or through few interviews he does. Recently, in an interview to Times Of India, Irrfan mentioned how he was “shocked, afraid and in panic.”

While his note was a bit shocking and disheartening to read, the latest update on his health comes with a good news. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Irrfan is “recovering slowly and steadily”. But the sad part is that he is still unaware of his return to home, to India. Irrfan Khan revealed in a brief chat that he is no hurry to know the end.

He said,

I’ve no idea when I’m back. I am not in a hurry to know how it’s going to unfold.

A couple of days back, Irrfan Khan shared the trailer of his upcoming Hollywood film, a thriller called Puzzle. A couple of days before that, he had tweeted about his IIFA 2018 win in the best actor category for Hindi Medium. In between, he also shared the much-loved trailer of his upcoming Hindi film Karwaan.

Talking about Irrfan’s absence around the release of his films and from promotions, director of Karwaan Akarsh Khurana told Bollywood Hungama, “It’s a challenge for sure, to promote the film without Irrfan. But we’re trying to figure out our best options.”

It must be alarming for the makers of Karwaan to promote the film without Irrfan considering his last release Blackmail couldn’t do much at the box office due to almost zero marketing. Because in the absence of Irrfan, makers had no known face to market the film on.
