Dehradun, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat reviewed the information department in the secretariat. He said that journalistic medical reimbursement scheme should be made cashless soon. In addition to the late Ram Prasad Bahuguna Smriti Award, adult and youth journalist award will also be started. Taking detailed information of departmental programs, the Chief Minister said that the Department of Information and Media plays the role of bridge between the government and the public. Public welfare and developmental schemes of the government should have proper publicity so that all sections of the society can be benefited from the government schemes widely. A strong information system is necessary to reach out to the people of the welfare schemes of the government till the remote areas of the state. The Chief Minister said that the propagation of government information to the media and the public should be with intensity and transparency. He emphasized better coordination with the media. He said that according to the present time the Department has accelerated the exchange of information using modern technology and information technology. The Chief Minister said that transparency should be taken care of in the departmental work system. The Chief Minister instructed the departmental officers that the pending cases related to the department should be resolved promptly. Regarding government policies and schemes, a proper mechanism should be developed to consider public feedback and complaints through social media and to reach out to the respective departments. All departments should continuously notify the Department of Information regarding their achievements, special efforts and new initiatives. For this purpose, a nodal officer should be appointed by each department, who will make the information available to the Department of Information about the updated achievements of the Department. The Chief Minister said that the State Film Development Council has to play an effective role in encouraging the shooting of films in the state. He instructed that special plans should be kept in the schemes which have been run for the interests of journalists. On this occasion, Secretary Chief Minister Mrs. Radhika Jha, Secretary Information Chandrashekhar Bhatt, Director General Information Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey Media Coordinator Darshan Rawat, Media Advisor Ramesh Bhatt, Special Executive Officer Abhay Rawat, Additional Director Dr. Anil Chandola, Joint Director Rajesh Kumar and Ashish Kumar Tripathi, Deputy Director Nitin Upadhyay, film director Jagdish Chandra Joshi and other departmental officials were present.
