Karan Johar Pays A Heartfelt Tribute To His ‘Guiding Light’ Yash Chopra – Photo Inside

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who is currently riding high on the success of his recent production venture Dhahdak, recently took to his Twitter handle and paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra with a throwback photo. Karan made his debut as a director with the 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and has given multiple blockbuster entertainers till now.

The 46-year-old actor took to his Twitter and treated his fans with a throwback photo of late Yash Chopra and his sons Aditya Chopra and Uday Chopra. Along with it, he wrote, “On #GuruPurnima I thank the family that is the only reason I became a filmmaker! Yash uncle was my guiding light …Adi my mentor in every  way! And @udaychopra my biggest support when I was new to a film set!!! I am grateful to them forever….(sic).”

After Yash Chopra’s demise in 2012, Yash Raj Films’ baton was taken over by Aditya. Uday, on the other hand, is best known for his role in the Dhoom franchise.

Karan last wore the director’s hat for the Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. His recent production venture, Dhadak, that launched late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor, has also been a hit at the box office and has earned 51.55 crores at the box office till now.
