It shouldn’t be surprising that people thoroughly enjoyed watching Kareena Kapoor Khan in Veere Di Wedding as she appeared on screen after a hiatus of almost two years. The Shashanka Ghosh-directed film marks Kareena’s comeback of sorts since Veere Di Wedding is her first film after Taimur’s birth but does that mean she didn’t spend time with her son because work kept her busy? Not quite, though.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Kareena said that she doesn’t feel the need to publicise her relationship with Taimur on social media by posting pictures with him. Her time spent with Taimur is something that should be private because that is exactly how it is supposed to be. To begin with, Kareena isn’t on social media. So forget about her posting pictures with Taimur.
“My time with my son – because it’s not on social media or no one knows about it – does not need to be (made public). Just because I don’t post a picture with him or I don’t carry him at airports doesn’t mean I don’t spend time with my son. I believe in quality over quantity..and what my time and my bond is with my son, I don’t need to announce to the world. Are we saying that mothers who work don’t spend time with their children? It’s not like that,” Kareena told Hindustan Times.
Taimur is Kareena Kapoor’s first child with husband, actor Saif Ali Khan and has been a sensation, to say the least, since his birth in 2016. Not just the press, Taimur is a favourite of the internet as well since his popularity and awesome adorableness has guaranteed him a spot on the trends list evertime his pictures surface on social media.
“I feel it’s about getting used to his name being called out (by the paparazzi) and not particularly the cameras around. I don’t think he can make out that he’s being clicked. He’s too small for that,” Kareena said, during her interview with Hindustan Times.
The 37-year-old actress, however, is slightly displeased about the constant attention on her son as she said: “Honestly, I’ve never held back anything. He’s practically all over the place. But he’s just 17 months old, so let him grow up and have his life. I want him to have a normal upbringing. I totally understand that it’s tough to have it in today’s time but it is okay. I’m letting him be.”
Kareena’s aforementioned concern is valid enough because it’s true – explained with the help of pictures from their London holiday that were accessed by fan clubs and are now “all over” social media.

As far as work is concerned, Kareena Kapoor Khan hasn’t confirmed reports of several projects that apparently star her. She doesn’t need to for the time being since Veere Di Wedding is faring well at the box-office – it has made over Rs 70 crore so far.
