Nokia X6 is HMD Global’s first mid-range smartphone with a display notch. The smartphone launched in China last month, and ever since, Nokia enthusiasts have been waiting for a global variant of the device. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Offer at HMD Global event held a poll on Twitter asking users if they would like to see a global launch of the Nokia X6, which received an overwhelming majority in the affirmative. Now, the Nokia X6 support page has gone live on the Indian website indicate a launch in the coming weeks.
The Nokia X6 was also spotted on the company’s global website with a ‘Shop Now’ button but was later pulled. In terms of availability, we can expect the Nokia X6 to launch in India in the coming weeks. The smartphone is expected to be priced Rs. 20,000 for the base variant and up to Rs 25,000 for the higher-end model.
Nokia X6 features a glass build with an aluminium frame. It sports a 5.8-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) display with notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. It is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC with Adreno 509 GPU. It includes 4/6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. On the camera front, there is a dual rear setup- 16-megapixel primary lens with f/2.0 aperture + 5.0-megapixel secondary lens with f/2.2 aperture. The front-facing camera is said to be a 16-megapixel shooter. Nokia X6 is backed by a 3060mAh battery and run on Android 8.1 Oreo.
