Nokia’s first smartphone with a display notch is expected to be the Nokia X6, according to reports. HMD Global, the Finnish company that owns the brand license for Nokia is widely believed to launch the Nokia X6 on April 27, 2018 in China. Leaked renders and specifications of the smartphone have already surfaced online and reveal a device with a striking resemblance to the Nokia 7 Plus with respect to the back panel.
The Nokia X6 is expected to include a display notch along with a small chin at the bottom. If the renders of the smartphone turn out to be accurarte, then the smartphone is seen to have almost non-existant bezels around. The rear panel bears a close resemblance with that of the Nokia 7 Plus with respect to the colour scheme and camera placement. The vertically-aligned dual rear cameras at the back is placed right at the centre with the circular capacitive fingerprint scanner below it. Placed between the camera module and the fingerprint scanner is the LED flash.
The smartphone is expected to sport a 5.8-inch full HD+ (1080×2280) display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It may come in two variants- the one with 4GB of RAM + 64GB of storage is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset and the 6GB RAM variant + 128GB of storage with Snapdragon 636 SoC. Nokia X6 will likely run on Android Oreo and may be priced approximately Rs. 16,700 for the 4GB variant and approximately Rs. 19,000 for the 6GB RAM variant, according to reports.
