OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.6 Update Brings Portrait Mode For Front Camera, Idea VoLTE Services And More

OnePlus 6 is now starting to receive the OxygenOS 5.1.6 incremental over-the-air (OTA) software update. The incremental update now brings Portrait mode for the selfie camera, enables Idea VoLTE services in India, supports battery percentage in the status bar, the ability to schedule Do Not Disturb (DND) mode among other system optimisations and general bug fixes.

OxygenOS 5.1.6 update brings Network fixes to the OnePlus 6 smartphone. The update now enables VoLTE services for Idea telecom subscribers in India. It also fixes stability issues for dual sim cards. With respect to camera optimisations, the update now adds Portrait mode for the selfie camera. There is now a preview for Light Bokeh effect in Portrait mode of the rear camera

Phone and system-related optimisations include improvements in call clarity; battery percentage in the status bar; improved ringtone volume and sound quality; the ability to schedule Do Not Disturb (DND) mode; added a dual-4G option in SIM and network settings; optimised power consumption and system stability.

Smart answer for Bluetooth allows users to automatically answer incoming calls when connecting to Bluetooth devices. Users are suggested to wipe the cache after installing the update to ensure stability.

OnePlus 6 has a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED display with Full HD+ (1080x2280p) resolution. In a first, OnePlus has included a display notch pushing the aspect ratio to 19:9. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU. It includes 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128/256 of internal storage. On the camera front, there is a dual camera setup- 16-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture, EIS, OIS + 20-megapixel lens with f/1.7 aperture. The front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture. OnePlus 6 is backed by a 3300mAh battery and runs on OxygenOS 5.1 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
