Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, who has given superhits like Chandni and Nagina with late actress Sridevi, left netizens in shock when he failed to recognise the actress in a throwback photo. The duo not only had a magical on-screen chemistry and is regarded as one of the most iconic 90s jodis, they were also very good friends in real life.

Replying to a user who had posted a throwback photo of Rishi and Sridevi on Twitter, the 65-year-old actor wrote, “What film is this? And I cannot recognise the actress with me! (sic).” Immediately after this comment, twitterati lost its cool and started trolling the actor.

Heartbroken over Rishi’s lapse of memory, one user wrote, “Lol, the actress which you dont recognize is famous all over India, she is pan India superstar.. In stardom and popularity she is miles miles ahead of you. You may go unnoticed in south India, but she is equally famous from Kashmir to Kanyakumari (sic),” while another user trolled him saying, “Actress is Sridevi. But, I didn’t recognise the actor (sic).”

Take a look at Rishi’s post below.

Earlier this year, when the tragic news of Sridevi’s death broke, Rishi expressed his grief by tweeting, “Henceforth no more Moonlit nights! Chandni gone forever. Alas!”

On the professional front, Rishi’s latest released Mulk has garnered him a lot of critical acclaim. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu and Prateik Babbar in lead roles.
