Not too long ago, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu had said that unlike fans of other superstars who troll their favourite actor’s peers, his fans are sensible and sensitive and know their limits. They don’t indulge in activities such as trolling or demeaning his peers. However, we are here to tell you – Mahesh Babu that you were wrong!
Yesterday, the Telugu superstar took to his Twitter account to appreciate the recently release Telugu film Goodachari starring actors Adivi Sesh and Sobhita Dhulipala. “Goodachari is a very impressive attempt in making a slick spy-thriller in Telugu. It’s crisp, fast & gripping. Loved the performances of all the actors. @AdiviSesh shines all through. Congratulations to the entire team!,” – Mahesh Babu wrote in his Tweet.

Thank you! https://t.co/QNtbGOoo7T

The actress in Goodachari – Sobhita Dhulipala replied to his tweet saying – ‘Thank you’. Soon after Mahesh Babu fans began to troll the actress for disrespecting their favourite superstar. They called her names, questioned her credibility and even abused her left, right and centre for not calling a senior actor like Mahesh Babu, ‘sir’, ‘guruji’, etc.
You’ve to say SIR 👊
Mahesh Babu Sir…

The actress was just as stunned as the rest of us, who wondered where she went wrong. After all, she just said a simple thank you which was blown out of proportion by Mahesh Babu fans. In an interview with Pinkvilla, she said: “I was confused that a ‘Thank you!’ was seen as disrespectful purely because I hadn’t attached salutations like Sir/superstar/The great etc. Of course I have immense respect for him and find it rather saddening that social media is not a place of safety. Anonymity shouldn’t be misused.”
This isn’t the first time the actress has been trolled. In fact, she has been trolled more often then not on her Instagram account for posting hot and sizzling pictures of her photoshoots. Fans have often question her character for wearing revealing outfits. But, this ‘sir’ business is a who new level of low even for the worst of Twitter trolls.
Mahesh Babu, we hope you come out with a statement about this entire situation and also remind your fans of the ‘stay in your limits’ you so proudly talked about in the Rajeev Masand interview.
