Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 tablet was launched on Sunday alongside the Redmi 6 Pro smartphone in China. The new Mi Pad 4 was being touted by the company for a long time. As expected, the new Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 comes in Wi-Fi only and Cellular (Wi-Fi + LTE) versions. During the launch, Xiaomi stressed on some of the highlights of the Mi Pad 4 as it is being touted to be made for single hand use. The new Xiaomi tablet also comes with Face Unlock feature which was teased by the company.
Xiaomi on Sunday also unveiled the Redmi 6 Pro with display notch. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro has been launched at a starting price of CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,500) for the basic variant.
Talking about the tablet, the Chinese company also claimed that the new Mi Pad 4 is roughly 10 per cent smaller than the previous Mi Pad model. The tablet packs a metal build and will be available in Wi-Fi only and there will be a cellular version with Nano SIM as well.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 price
The new Mi Pad has been launched at a starting price of CNY 1,099 (roughly Rs. 11,500) for the basic Wi-Fi only version with 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. There’s a 4GB RAM with 64GB storage Wi-Fi only version available at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 15,000). The LTE version of the Mi Pad 4 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage priced at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 16,000). It will be going on sale starting Wednesday in China.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 specifications
For specifications, the Mi Pad 4 sports an 8-inch Full-HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 3GB/ 4GB RAM. It runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
On the camera front, the tablet sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and also packs a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The tablet weighs roughly 243 grams. It comes with USB Type-C charging port and has been launched in LTE and Wi-Fi only versions. The tablet is backed by a 6000mAh battery.
