Zomato Gold, the company’s paid subscription program, is now on an invite-only basis, and can no longer be purchased without an invite code. With Zomato Gold, Zomato users can avail exclusive dining privileges which include offers on food and beverages from over thousands of restaurants across five cities. Zomato had earlier posted about its decision to allow its customers one last chance to buy Zomato Gold on April 27, following which it would be ‘shutting the gates’ for general access.
With Zomato Gold, customers can enjoy either 1+1 on food or 2+2 on drinks. The exclusive dining privilege is available with over 2100 restaurants across Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore. To gain access to Zomato Gold, users need an invite code from either existing members or from the company itself. “To ensure the service quality and availability of tables at our restaurant partners is not an issue for Zomato Gold members, we’ve remained conservative with our purchase window,” the company had earlier posted in a blog.
“We are making Zomato Gold more exclusive and post 27th April, it will be available by invite only. We are enhancing the value of Zomato Gold and making it bigger and better. We are going to be upgrading our Gold experiences and will be hosting a number of premium events exclusively for Gold members. We are also working on welcoming Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chennai to Gold and towards adding more benefits to the Gold program for our members. More information on this soon,” Zomato posted.
